I have purchased my first Santa Fe in 2005 from this dealer, have had all my services there. Throughout the past 6 years, have been treated really well and have been taken care of by the service staff and manager Miles. Because of my wonderful experience I decided purchasing my daughter's first car there, an Accent SE, we were so happy with the service on this transaction and by chance I asked what the trade in value for my 6 year old Santa Fe would be. Wow, they gave me the fair value from the KBB, I was so impressed! They also said that if I was to finance my new car, I would also get a cash back, and guess what? I was blessed with a new Santa Fe. I knew what car I wanted but it was just not available. I visited the dealership several times and I was always greeted with smiles and I didn't feel like a bother, even though I knew there was not a car. I kept patient and they kept working for me. One day Henry called with good news that a car with my specifications was on the boat and it was mine if I wanted. I gave the rating I did to Henry and Jeb because I felt as if they really wanted to help me find the car that was right for me. I was indecisive between a couple of cars and not once did I feel Henry or Jeb was frustrated with me. I did not feel any pressure as I did with other dealers, I actually felt very comfortable (Like talking to a friend). I felt the both of them were honest and straight forward. Henry and Jeb were both well informed of the vehicles and I left the lot with the confidence that I bought the right car.

Hawaii is a small place so it always seems that in order to get a really good deal on a new car, you have to have a friend or relative who works at a dealership. Unfortunately, people like me who don't know anyone at any dealership have go through the typical stressful car buying experience. This is how it's always been until I decided to buy a new Hyundai Elantra and went to Tony Hyundai.
I just purchased a new 2012 Elantra from Tony Hyundai. This was my first experience dealing with them and it definitely won't be my last. Henry Murillo is genuinely committed to providing the best service to his customers. He really knows the products he sells and was able to answer all the questions my wife and I had. After a few minutes talking with him and their general manager Alan Capello, I could tell they were really personable people, which made me and my wife feel very comfortable. I can see why he and the other staff there have so many good reviews and repeat customers.
Tony Hyundai went out of their way to find and ship in the exact car me and my wife were looking for and we couldn't be happier with it. I was also extremely happy with the price of the Elantra, especially considering it was the #1 selling car in the USA last month and will probably be so again this month. Hyundai as a brand has come a long way in just a few short years. I'm really glad the Tony Group carries the Hyundai brand and it will make my future car buying plans much easier. My 12 year old Sentra was finally showing its age, so I had to get a new car. I am a Nissan guy, but their current offerings in the compact segment are mediocre at best. I decided to get a Honda Civic because of the reliability that Honda is known for, as well as the great "real world" fuel economy (don't rely on EPA estimates on window stickers, check out fuelly.com or similar instead).
I contacted the three local dealers to see what kind of deal I could get, or if it was realistically possible to even get an EX model, or did I have to just settle for an LX. The one dealer that has a reputation for great customer service didn't even reply to my initial email. Scratch them off the list. The other dealer offered me a decent base price by email, but when I asked for a breakdown of the fees and my actual final price, he stopped corresponding with me. That made me think that he might have been leading me on. I laid out the offer to Iven Cunanan and asked him if he could do better, but if he couldn't I would understand. He promptly replied that he would beat the other dealer's offer and then some! I was elated and as soon as my wife was free to come select the car with me, we went down to the Autoplex. Unfortunately, it was early evening and Iven had left for the day already. Mike Demello introduced himself and said that he was there to help us and that he would uphold any deal that Iven had offered us earlier. We took a test drive and were satisfied with the car's ride. It was getting near closing time, but Mike remained patient as we tried to make a decision on color and body style. After we finally decided on the vehicle we wanted, the paperwork process went very smoothly and quickly. I was surprised that the price I paid was much lower than what I expected to pay in Hawaii, even through my extensive online research. They explained every document that was handed to me and not once did I feel that they were doing anything "fishy". Curtis Matsumoto, the FI guy was equally pleasant. He took the time to explain everything and while he did try to sell us some additional services (just doing his job), he was not pushy at all about it. One of the reasons I put off buying a new car was that I normally HATE the car buying process due to the high pressure tactics of some salespeople and dealerships, but that was not the case here at Tony Honda and the great employees they have in Iven, Mike, and Curtis (I had a similarly positive experience at Tony Hyundai last year too). Two thumbs up!
My experience with Tony Honda from start to finish was excellent. There was no haggling over price and it was awesome working with Iven Cunanan my salesperson. Iven is easy going and friendly. It was like I've known him for years. This by far was my most enjoyable car buying experience. I would highly recommend the Tony Group and especially Tony Honda and Iven Cunanan. I know when I'm ready to buy another car I'm going to call Iven and it is definitely going to be another Honda.
Iven has to be the most informative, thoughtful and easy-going Car Salesman we've ever worked with. In 2008, we purchased our CRV from Iven, and he made our experience very pleasant, without any sales pressure. My husband & I have just helped our daughter purchase her first car. Needless to say, the whole car buying experience can be quite overwhelming fo a first time car buyer, but Iven made our daughter feel at ease. Tony Honda has an excellent Graduate Program for young adults, who have little to no credit history.

We are proud owners of new 2012 Honda Civic and want to thank Iven Cunanan and the entire Tony Honda staff for making this possible. We have had the vehicle for four months now and enjoying it immensely.
When we first decided to purchase this vehicle, we were excited about the prospects of owning another Honda, but we were somewhat anxious about the process of buying. We did much of our research on the internet and first approached our local dealership on the Big Island. Subsequent to this initial contact, we decided to solicit other dealers statewide. After narrowing down our choices to two dealers, we finally chose Tony Honda primarily due to our interaction with Iven Cunanan. His friendly demeanor, willingness to listen, responsiveness to our questions, comprehensive product knowledge and his overall conscientiousness made us respectful of his professionalism and left us the impression he sincerely wanted our business.
As a consequence, we were able to transact the entire purchase by phone and extremely delighted when we were able to consummate this process only after our second phone call! Since we did not physically go to Oahu to complete the paperwork and inspect the vehicle, everything was done through the mail and photos provided through the email. The day finally came, the vehicle was shipped and arrived in excellent condition. In retrospect, aside from the initial manufacturing delays, the whole process went reasonably well and better than expected. Due to this favorable experience, we would definitely consider purchasing another vehicle from Tony Honda where we did "experience the difference" and look forward to extending our relationship with Iven.
I went to the Honda parts dept on Monday and received the best service I've ever had. The employee knew exactly what I was talking about and exactly what I needed. They were definitely knowledgeable and friendly. I wouldn't recommend any other dealership.

I give Iven Cunanan a 5-star rating because he was not a pushy salesman. He made me feel comfortable and relaxed. He seemed to be very honest and sincere and made me feel as a part of the Honda family. I had a 2006 Honda CR-V and upgraded to a newer model. The other sales persons were nice also. I recommend my friends and family to see Iven if they are planning on looking for a new car.

Great experience from start to finish. Very friendly...no pushy sales tactics or pressure. I was treated very well, all my questions were answered openly and honestly. They made it clear to me that my business was important to them and that they wanted to do everything possible to EARN that business, which they happily did.
The staff at Tony Volkswagen delivers superior customer service and is very informative and friendly. We were immediately greeted by Dirk who was more than happy to help us. From the very beginning, he was very personable and answered any questions or concerns I had about the vehicle I wanted. Throughout the entire process, Dirk was always available via his personal telephone line or email. A week after my first visit I went back and purchased my car. The negotiation and finance aspect of my experience was also very pleasing. Again, the staff is top knotch!

Dirk was the most professional sales rep I have ever dealt with in my purchase of six vehicles over my life time. Despite me telling him that I was just looking, he still treated me as if I was making the purchase that day. It is because of him and his expertise of the VW CC that I returned the next day and made the purchase. He new everything about the vehicle which was impressive and made the purchasing experience that much more wonderful.

The only disappointing factor of Tony VW was the interior of the facilities. The chairs and the tables were old, uncomfortable not and not the cleanest I would expect from this kind of dealership. The fact I had to wait for a few hours even though I had pre-financing and had picked the car out many hours before was also a disappointing fact. This time lapse almost made me walk away. Dirk's professionalism and rapport with me were the only reason I did not leave the dealership when I knew I could have made a deal at another dealership.
Zack from Service was impressive as well. I cannot say that about his colleagues. However, Zack's prompt return phone calls, his knowledge of the vehicles, and his customer service is impeccable and beats out the Lexus and Mercedes service department by far in Honolulu.

My VW Jetta was falling apart after 9 months, purchased it from a private sales. During my vacation time from deployment, I took the vehicle into service and told Zach my issues with the vehicle. He called me couple hours later and he gave me a call and gave me price quote what the repairs would cost. The repairs would exceed the value of the car, despite my disappointment I asked about turning the car in for credit or options of getting rid of the vehicle. Zach reffered me to Alberto who assisted me in getting a good price on a used car. We went through the options and narrowed it down to 3 vehicles. Bottom line, I turned in a disatisfied vehicle and left with a new (used) vehicle the same day. With the understanding of Alberto, he had promised couple things that vehicle needed and paid his debt when i returned the following week for a followup appointment.
I'm a first-time buyer of a brand new vehicle and the Tony Volkswagen team made it a great experience. I initially went to VW of Honolulu and it was horrible. The salesman did not give me much info at all about the car that I was looking to purchase. They were asking for a RIDICULOUS down payment even though my credit is good. It was just horrible. I decided to take the ride to Tony VW, even though it was about 20-30 minutes away, I'm so very glad I went. The staff was very welcoming and friendly from the time I pulled onto the lot. My salesman Dirk was very knowledgeable and passionate about the car that I wanted to purchase and it really helped that he has one, his self. He told me so much about the car, every feature inside, out. I fell in love with the car even more than I did when I looked at it on the internet. I had no idea it was packed with so many convenient features. We worked a fair deal that we were all happy with and I went home in my new car. Dirk is great about following up and answering any questions. The Finance team was great, I was just really happy with the Tony VW team. If I have any friends or co-workers looking to buy new cars, I will definitely recommend Tony's Group. Another great thing about Tony which I'm not sure if they realize how big of a deal it is, is that they have vending machines, water fountains and a children's play area. I have been to dealerships that didn't have any of those and the kids are bored out of their minds which makes it hard for the parents to focus on the deal. My experience was great. A week and a half later, I'm still smiling about my new car.
Zach was very friendly and helpful. It was the first time to the dealership for my wife and I, and we needed to find out why the check-engine light on our dashboard was on. His confident reassurance gave us comfort knowing that what ever it was, it could be fixed, and probably at a reasonable price. He was very efficient in writing up our concern, and then welcomed us to free coffee and snacks while we waited in the customer lounge. The diagnosis by the technician was fast, and then Zach explained the problem to us in very easy to understand terms. It was a problem with spark plug wires and a MAF sensor. He explained repair options, and then, with no pressure, let us make the decision on what to do next. He was very professional in all respects, and treated us like VIPs. We are very happy with Tony Volkswagon's Service Department, and especially Zach for his friendly, courteous help. We will be looking forward to return to have the work done by Tony Volkswagon as soon as our busy work schedules permit. In the meantime, we will be sure to relate our positive experience with the Tony Volkswagon Service Department with our friends and business associates.
