Dealer Notes
The 2018 Honda Pilot is designed to draw attention. The exterior is both sporty and refined, featuring a bold front grille that integrates with the eye-catching headlights. Smooth lines and a more aerodynamic body complement the EarthDreams engine, making the Pilot more fuel efficient. The taillights feature distinct LED accents and a signature shape that straddles the rear tailgate and rear quarter panel. Built for comfort, the Pilot offers seating for up to 8. With just the push of a button, the second-row seats automatically move forward making it easier than ever to access the third row. There’s always room for adventure, with the spacious cargo area, 109 cu.-ft. of cargo volume and 60/40 split second and third row seats. Keeping all your passengers comfortable is no problem with the independently-adjustable tri-zone automatic climate control, while as many as 5 USB ports, 2 auxiliary jacks, up to three 23-volt outlets, a 115-volt outlet and an HDMI port, there’s definitely no shortage of power. The sky’s the limit with two moonroof configurations, one that lets you tilt, and one that gives panoramic views. The Pilot is packed with cutting-edge technology, including a navigation system, multi-angle rearview camera, Pandora and SiriusXM radio compatibility, blind spot sensing and access to the HondaLink app. It also offers a suite of safety features, including a collision mitigation braking system, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist.

This is a great SUV.
By N H | on Sunday, May 06, 2018
I purchased a new Pilot EX-L for my wife in Feb. It has 2400 miles on it now. I was a bit reluctant to purchase a Pilot after reading the negative comments - poor engine power, bad handling, bad infotainment system, etc. , from some owners on this site. We also looked at the Edge and Highlander; however my wife wanted the Pilot because it drove and handled more like a car than a truck. And Im really glad she did. At 280 HP, the engine smooth, quiet, and has plenty of power. I also think the handling is quite exceptional for a large SUV. My wife claims the voice command and music off her i phone works great. The Pilot is one of the most comfortable vehicles Ive ridden in and it has loads of room. The only negativeI can find is the power tailgate doesnt fit perfectly. The seam on the left side is almost a 1/16th of an inch wider than the seam on the right side. This is an anomaly because the fit and finish inside and out on the rest of the Pilot is perfect. I highly recommend the Pilot if you are looking for an SUV this size.… - 5.0
Pricey car but worth it
By RD | on Thursday, May 11, 2017
Bought my Elite new and so I far have put 2,300 miles on it. I like cars but am not a car guy so take my review for what it is. It handles pretty well and it gets better gas milage than my 2007 Nissan Pathfinder. It drives smoother and with less jarring then my old SUV but I really wish it was better over big bumps. I have read about the 9 speed engine not being so smooth but I have not noticed it being too bad. It does not have much pickup but that help the gas milage. The collision mitigation, forward collision warning system, road departure mitigation system, cross traffic blind-sport info system & lane keeping assist system can confuse you but I am sure in time they will all become second nature to me. The one thing that people have complained about and I will too is the infotainment system. It may not mean much to others but to me it does but it take 10-15 seconds after you start the car for the radio to come on. It also takes that long to come on when you stop the car and want to sit in the car while waiting for someone. Its not a deal breaker but it is aggravating. I also wish the radio came with a knob instead of a push button slider. Overall, I like the Honda Pilot Elite and would recommend it.… - 4.0
Questionable purchase at this point in time.
By Shorty | on Wednesday, September 07, 2016
This is the 5th Honda I have owned, but the first SUV. I did all the research, read all the reviews, and test drove 18 different vehicles before purchasing the 2016 (9 speed automatic transmission) Pilot. A little over 1 year after purchasing it (purchased in summer of 2015) I started to hear chirping sounds when it shifted from 2nd to 3rd. I just walked out of the dealer in shock - I need a new transmission at only a little over 11,000 miles. Yes it is covered under warranty but I am very disappointed as this is the 3rd Honda vehicle I've owned with transmission issues. Needless to say I'm holding my breath as to to see how this plays out. Sorry Honda - last chance. I will not be buying another Honda.…
